School Holidays 2nd to 13th October 2017


 

School holiday time again!

Native animals, a Museum to explore, history, quizzes, room to run in the Park, trains and tractors and much more.

Come and meet Jockalene and Ben, our new residents in the nocturnal house. They will both turn 1 over the holidays.  Kiwi feedng 11am,. 1pm and 3pm daily.

Flash the tuatara will come out for a close encounter on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning after 11am kiwi feeding.  This is always at the keeper's discretion as the animals welfare is always the priority.

Check out the fun conservation based school holiday programme activities with our educator, Shirley. Supported by KCC, Whangarei Library and Kiwi Coast.  Dont forget to BOOK!

Explore the Museum, do a quizz and guess the mystery object for the month.

Out on the Park explore the heritage buildings - the Clarke Homestead, Oruaiti Chapel, women's jail, Mander Study and the Riponui Pah School.

The trains will be running 10am to 2pm Thursday and Friday. Mini trains Wednesday only.
