Unique Moa find! Over 2000 years ago a family of Bush Moa were trapped in the collapse of a local limestone cave.

21st September Onwards “The Moa Cave” Exhibition.

Unique Moa find! Over 2000 years ago a family of Bush Moa were trapped in the collapse of a local limestone cave. Their skeletons will be on display in Whangarei Museum, at Kiwi North from 21st September.

Come and share the wonder of the Whangarei’s own Moa story.
